About Miesha Hegwood
Founder of Third Eye Editing LLC
I am an editor with a background in anthropology and public health, which means I bring both a sharp eye for detail and a deep curiosity about different cultures and ways of thinking. Editing, to me, is more than refining grammar or polishing sentences—it’s about immersing myself in the writer’s perspective, understanding the framework of their project, and helping their voice shine clearly.
Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of working with authors, doctors, entrepreneurs, lawyers, and students, guiding their ideas from draft to finished product. Nothing excites me more than watching a client gain clarity and confidence in their work—whether it’s preparing a manuscript for publication, refining a dissertation, or sharpening a brand voice.
I also recognize the specific challenges faced by people of color and women in bringing their stories and expertise forward. Supporting these voices is not only part of my work, but also part of my mission to give back to my community.Take a minute to write an introduction that is short, sweet, and to the point.

“ThirdEye Editing helped edit my final paper on Black Maternal health. She was kind and provided an extremely quick turnaround with last minute notice but was professional all the way through. I would recommend her services to others!”
